Statement of Faith
We believe that all Scriptures, both the Old and New Testament are given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe in only one true God. (Mark 12:29)
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, of His shed blood on Calvary for the forgiveness of
our sins, of His bodily resurrection and ascension to the Father's right hand. (1 Corinthians 8:6)
We believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is our teacher, counselor and guide. (John 14:26)
We believe that all who accept the Lord Jesus as Savior through repentance and faith and turn to God and are baptized will be born again.
Salvation refers to the act of God's grace (undeserved favor) in delivering His human creations from the penalties and the bondage of sin, all on the basis of what Christ accomplished in his atoning sacrifice (Jesus Christ died on the cross, which was an acceptable payment to God for the penalties of the sins that His human creations have committed against His perfect laws). The Bible says we are saved by grace through faith; and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God.
We believe that the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross has provided healing for God's human creation. We believe that salvation is the process that God uses to make His human creations, who have applied His Biblical principles to become sound and healthy again. Being "born again" is a miracle, a part of God's miraculous process plan to restore His human creations to a state of wholeness. This new birth is of the Holy Spirit, something that we cannot do for ourselves and that the new convert didn't have before. Therefore, a miracle was preformed. God's desire is to heal us and to make us whole through His completed redemptive work of salvation. (Acts 28:27)
We believe in the resurrection of the just and the unjust; one to everlasting life and one to everlasting damnation. (1 Corinthians 15:20)
The Second Coming:
We believe in a literal, physical second return of the Lord Jesus Christ, however, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only God the Father knows. (Mark 13:32)
We believe that the Church, the Body of Christ is comprised of all true believers who have received salvation through Christ. We also believe in and encourage fellowship with ALL believers and that the Bible shows us that we need each other. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
Gifts of the Spirit:
We believe that spiritual gifts and the manifestations of the Holy Spirit are for the common good and are for building up of each other. (1 Corinthians 12:4)
